RESPONSE TO MARKET PAIN POINTS:

Psychiatric stigma in Hong Kong is serious where people with mental illness are often treated with disrespect and even being discriminated against. Public stigma and self stigma affects the quality of life of people with mental illness, hinders recovery, as well as reduces help seeking behaviours. StoryTaler shares story on social media, in corporates, schools, and on mass media to advocate mental health and reduce psychiatric stigma.

Besides, in Hong Kong, traditional one-on-one psychological services are usually expensive, have long waiting times, infrequent follow up, and are dominated by professionals in the treatment plan and progress. The TourHeart+ platform cares about users’ autonomy, and everyone can easily access evidence-based online resources to learn psychological self-help techniques. (https://www.jcthplus.org/)
