• Owing to the special properties, such as high contrast optical and excellent light scattering properties, they can be favourable applied in ink and cosmetic industries.

如何解決市場痛點|RESPONSE TO MARKET PAIN POINTS

Cosmetics industry: Both conventional chemical and physical UV filters used in the cosmetic products have raised health concerns while the current substitute, polymer-based hollow particles, leads to microplastics which threaten aquatic life.

White ink industry: Due to high density of TiO2 pigment in the formulation, white ink tends to sedimentation thus losing hiding power but also causing nozzle blockage during printing.

Novel inorganic submicron hollow particles fabrication by Ngai’s team provides customized solutions for current formulation problems in different industries.
